The new patented intelligent beer dispensing system
The I-dea system® controls the entire dispensing line, from the keg to the tap is able to optimize the use of carbon dioxide, reducing consumption by up to 30 percent, as certified by CERB, the University of Beer of Perugia.
I-dea is the new intelligent system patented by ODL that manages dispensing systems to serve consistently high-quality beer in a sustainable way, saving time and money.
A complete system
In the I-dea system, the coupler, the flow compensator at the dispensing point, and the pressure regulator communicate with each other, continuously exchanging information related to beer pressure and temperature. I-dea is designed to interact bidirectionally remotely.
Why I-dea
I-dea ensures beer quality at the point of consumption. Non-optimal pressure inside the keg alters the taste of the beer: the I-dea system continuously manages pressure and carbon dioxide saturation, preserving the integrity of the beer’s quality, and delivers carbon dioxide only when necessary.
By minimizing and rationalizing the use of carbon dioxide, the beer maintains its original organoleptic characteristics, ensuring its quality and a longer shelf life throughout the entire distribution chain up to the final consumer. A revolution in sustainability and management compared to both traditional dispensing systems and more recent solutions with plastic kegs, with their associated environmental disposal costs.
With I-dea, efficiency increases
The I-dea system is able to control the foam level during dispensing, preventing slowdowns even during peak demand and reducing beer waste, especially at the beginning and end of the keg. Furthermore, it notifies the operator when it is time to carry out periodic system sanitization and, if this is not performed, when set, it stops product dispensing until the cycle has been correctly completed.
I-dea can also be programmed to send alarm SMS messages in case of anomalies and is capable of performing system self-diagnostics, providing information for problem prevention and resolution, limiting maximum pressure in the keg, detecting gas leaks, and even shutting down the system in case of danger.
Extensive data for more proactive management
I-dea provides a comprehensive database on sales and system usage status, supporting effective geo-marketing strategies and reducing maintenance costs. The I-dea system can collect, process, and transmit data to operators, distributors, and producers.
Data analysis and consumption forecasts allow optimization of warehouse management and production, minimizing storage times. Each point of sale can even precisely monitor how many beers have been sold per keg consumed, as the system can be connected to the cash register.
